Scorpions are a German rock band founded in 1965 in Hannover . They are one of the most famous and longest existing rock bands in the world. The group are known for their heavy metal tunes, as well as powerful rock ballads. The lineup from 1978–1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Klaus Meine (vocals), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass) and Herman Rarebell (drums). Rolling Stone magazine describes them as “the heroes of heavy metal”, while MTV called them “Ambassadors of Rock”. The band was ranked number 46 on VH1’s Greatest Artists of Hard Rock programme. “Rock You Like a Hurricane” is also number 18 on VH1’s list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. “Still Loving You” landed in 22nd place among the greatest ballads. They have received many prestigious awards, such as three World Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Rock wall, and a presence in the permanent exhibition of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Tunturikadun Vierailunäyttämö (Puoli-Q) The Vallons and the Reilles meet up to discuss the altercation that took place between their sons, their hearts full of the art of co-existence. There are tulips, there is clafoutis (is it a cake or a tart?), and emotional cul-de-sacs are to be avoided. There are also missing teeth, the Darfur tragedy and thump guns, not to mention the regrettable fate of the Kokoschka. And then there’s the hamster… The God of Carnage will make an appearance in March, and it is darkly funny. Don’t miss it. Featuring Mira Berglund-Fitzpatrick, Marietta Chela, Christian Jull, and Daniel McMullen.
