Centenary Championships in Lahti this month

The Lahti Nordic Skiing Championships will be held from February 22 to March 5 in the southern Finnish city of Lahti, and will be taking on a special flavour in light of the 100th anniversary of Finnish independence this year.

Over the 12 days more than 700 athletes from 60 different countries will compete in 21 disciplines, with each day culminating with the biggest après-ski in the world as well as the medal award ceremonies. At the centenary championships, visitors will enjoy the world’s best winter sports combined with an unforgettable winter festival full of good food, music and unique atmosphere in breathtaking setting of Salpausselkä.
